The other night I drew a pig.
I didn’t like it. It felt forced, ugly, and not my style.
I walked away.
Today I saw this tweet from David Perell
I got hyped.
I went back and re-did the pig using my own style.
It didn’t matter if it was all that good or not. What mattered was that I drew that pig in a way that only I could have thought to draw it. And that’s better than letting it sit unfinished forever.
You’re going to run into a lot of road blocks when creating.
Figure out what you need to get past them, and do those things. That’s all it takes.
